Gheorghe Rosetti, architect, living in France

His father was Alexandru Rosetti (born 20 October 1895 , Bucharest – d. 27 February 1990 , Bucharest ) a famous Romanian linguist and philologist, editor, educator, historian of Romanian language, patron of the Romanian language school. Professor at the Faculty of Letters in Bucharest, Rosetti was one of the spiritual patrons of linguistic school of Bucharest He was member of the Romanian Academy in 1948 . Rosetti was a descendant of Prince Rosetti family, he holds a doctorate in Paris , where he married Maria Rallet . He arrived in 1933 for Literature and Art Foundation Director of King Charles II, the most prestigious publishing house in Romania .From the outset his goals were complex: first publication of critical editions of classic Romanian writers, the collection “Energy”, where King Charles proposed printing of books of adventure, definitive editions of contemporary writers.
Professor of Philology at the Faculty of Letters in Bucharest (the holder of Romanian history course for several decades), academician Alexandru Rosetti has left many specialty papers, published in the country and the West (especially in France and Denmark ). It was known as one of the longest members of the Romanian Academy.

 

Marina Krilovici,

(born 11 June 1942) is an opera soprano of Romanian birth. She first studied with Mme Vrabiescu-Vatianu, Arta Florescu, Petre Ştefănescu Goangă, Aurel Alexandrescu in Bucharest, and after with with Maria Caniglia and Luigi Ricci in Rome. She start her career in 1966 at the National Opera of Bucharest as Donna Anna in “Don Giovanni”. In the same year she was winner of the Dutch International Vocal Competition in ´s Hertogenbosch and another competition in Montreal. During 1968-1976 she was a member of the State Opera of Hamburg and 1971, she decided to defect and settle in Germany.
She was married to the baritone Kostas Paskalis until 1993 (with whom she has two childrend , has performed at numerous Opera houses. In 1968 and 1969 she was heard at the Opera House in Toronto as Tosca. In the years 1970-1978 she appeared at the Staatsoper in Vienna in roles like Santuzza, Tosca, and Elisabetta in Verdi’s Don Carlos. In 1972 she performed at the Deutsche Oper Berlin as Santuzza. Other guest appeatances at La Fenice in Venice (1971 as Tosca), the Covent Garden Opera London (1971, Aida), the Teatro San Carlos Lisbon (1975 as Manon Lescaut and 1978 as Tosca), the Opera du Rhin, Strasbourg (1976, Tatiana in “Eugene Oneghin”), the Opera de Monte Carlo (1979, Elisabetta), La Monnaie (1979, Amelia in Donizetti’s “Il Duca d’Alba”), and the Scottish Opera in Glasgow (1980, Tosca). In 1985-1986 she made a guest appearance at the Opéra de Wallonie Liege as Tosca. Also a guest in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Mexico City and 1982-85 at the opera several times in Athens, where she sang Leonore in “La forza del destino” by Verdi.
Even in America,Marina Krilovici had a successful career, making her debut there in 1972 at the San Francisco Opera as Aida, From 1972-1974 she sang at the Lyric Opera of Chicago as Mimi and as Cio-Cio-San. She sang at the Opera House of New Orleans in 1975 as Tosca and appeared at Miami Opera in 1979 as Elisabetta in “Don Carlos”. In the seasons 1973-1974 and 1975-1977 she was engaged at the New York Metropolitan Opera where she sang Cio-Cio-San, Giorgetta in Puccini’s “Il Tabarro”, and Leonora in “Il Trovatore”.This interwiev was shoot in 1995 in Athens.Camera :Aristică Popa.

Grigore Vieru (February 14, 1935 – January 18, 2009) was a Romanian poet and writer from Moldova.Republic..His poetry is characterized by vivid natural scenery, patriotism, as well as a venerated image of the sacred mother.He also wrote poems for the children. Vieru was one of the major poets in contemporary Romanian literature. In 1989 he was elected member of Moldova’s Parliament and campaigned for the unification of Romania and Moldova. The following year he was elected Honorary Member of the Romanian Academy.
In 1995, he became a member of the Board of the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company, and in 1996 he won several Romanian literary awards. In 2000, Vieru was awarded the “Eminescu” Medal by the Romanian government.

Mihai Ungheanu (b. 17 March 1939 , Slobozia – d 12 March 2009 , Bucharest ) was a journalist , critic, writer and politician and Romanian senator, in the Romanian Senate in the legislature in 2000 – 2004 and 2004 – 2008 by the candidate lists of the Party ” Romania Mare „ PRM in Arges County .
Michael Ungheanu was also secretary of state, no political affiliation, the Ministry of Culture during the Government Vacaroiu .
In the 70 – 80 he was on of important personality of the protochronist group of the promoters magazine ” Star “.
A long time was chef editor of the magazine, signing a large number of reviews devoted to the most important representatives of contemporary Romanian literature.
After 1990 he continued to publish numerous books, like “Holocaust of Romanian culture, 1944-1989” and “Encyclopedia repressed values” (in collaboration with Ilie Badescu ). Before death, had in preparation a book entitled “Comintern after Comintern”, which wanted to demonstrate that, in fact, the mentality and methods of this infamous organization did not disappear after 1989, even taking scale.

This interview granted to Cleopatra Lorintiu in November 1995 at Baile Herculane made reference to Romanian citizens from others countries, especially Romanian citizens from ex Yugoslavia and Ukraine: their faith, their love for Romanian literature, their patriotic feelings.

 

 

 

Ion Vlasiu (b. 1908 – d .1997 ) was a sculptor, painter and Rumanian writerMemorial house of the sculptor is in Bistra Mures, Oriental Carpathians Mountains not far from Targu -Mures city
The sculptor has long been the adept of realism as an artistic expression.Even the great Rumanian poet Lucian Blaga wrote about the talent of the artist and his rustic great expressive force when Vlasiu start his carrier , before the Second War

Theodore Coresi,opera singer from Wien.

 

(Interview in 1995,camera Emil Lungu.)Theodore Coresi had a classical education while he studied acting and directing with Prof. Cornel Nicoara and A. Lazar. From 1978 to 1983 he studied at the Bucharest Music Academy majoring in Vocal Performance (lieder, oratorium and opera). In 1983 he passed the National Diploma Examination with honours. Then he studied in Roma, Wien and Bucharest with Boris Christoff, Luigi Infantino, Giuseppe Taddei, Hubert Deutsch, Nicolae Herlea and Agnes Ivan.
Winner of many international competitions, including the following:Concours International de Geneve (Switzerland)1980;1983,Concours International d’Opera (Verviers, Belgium),1984,Opera Festival (Bulgaria)1985,Concorso Internazionale G. B. Viotti (Vercelli, Italy)
1986,Belvedere –Internationaler Opernsängerwettbewerb (Wien)1987,Concours International Maria Canals (Barcelona).Several performances with famous orchestras including the Vienna Philharmonics, Gewandhaus, Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Basel Chamber Orchestra under Paul Sacher and Vienna Hofburg Orchestra in Vienna, Linz, Basel and Leipzig.
He has also performed concerts with monumental works such as Verdi’s Messa da Requiem (Spain), Haydn’s The Creation (Paris, Mallorca, Wien and Bucharest), Händel’s The Messiah and Bach’s Passion of St. John (Vienna) and performed Aria and lieder recitals with orchestra and piano in Vienna, Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Wexford, Bregenz, Malta, Seoul, Berne, Bucharest, Tokyo, Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, etc.He has made some Radio and television recording (including live broadcasts) with RTBF (Belgium), ORF (Austria) and TVR (Romania).
He still directs his private voice studio “Opernsänger” in Vienna.
He is member of the “Gesellschaft für Musiktheater” in Vienna since 1987.
He is foreman of the „PRO ARTE“ association for international cultural exchange in Vienna.

Poet de aleasa stirpe, constiinta poetica adevarata,iata-l pe Grigore Vieru (1935-2009)intr-un dialog plin de sensuri purtat la Baile Herculane in toamna anului 1995.
